- Follow Instagram Accounts for Flash Sales – Instagram is a great way to discover new shops and designers. It’s also a great way to get access to exclusive discount codes and flash sales. Follow your favorite shops to find out about exclusive sales. These tend to happen in the afternoon or early evening. Keep a keen eye out!
- Follow Facebook Accounts for Coupons – Sometimes retailers give out special coupons or deals to their Facebook fans. Follow your favorite brand for up-to-the-minute info on new styles and fan-only deals.
- Sign up to Newsletters for a Percentage Off – Newsletter subscribers sometimes gain access to flash sales, extra discount codes, free shipping or Friends & Family coupons. Also, if it’s your first time signing up to a site, you may get a new member discount. Check those options before checking out.
- Follow Bloggers for Coupon Codes – Brands sometimes work with bloggers to help them spread the word about their designs and give them discount coupons for their followers. Follow your favorite bloggers and see if they have any deals for shops you’re into.
- Check Coupon Sites for Codes – Before checking out of your cart, try doing a search online for coupons to that store or using coupon sites like RetailMeNot.com for special discounts and freebies. If you use Google Chrome, you can also install a plug-in called Honey to have it search for coupon codes right from your cart before you check out.
- Shop Sites with Rewards – Get cash or gift cards back on items you buy online by signing up for sites that offer rewards, like Shop.com or Nordstrom.com.
- Use Shopping Apps – Keep up-to-date on sales and opportunities with shopping apps that give you notifications as soon as a sale is about to begin, like ideeli and Gilt, where you can get designer items at a reduced price. Or try store apps, like Target’s Cartwheel app, that will give you coupons for the store while you’re shopping in it.
- Shop Holiday Sales – Some of the best deals you’ll get online take place over long weekends and holidays. Sign up for email alerts and keep an eye out for specials – especially sales that take place over a certain time period. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, President’s Day, and Memorial Day are all spectacular times to save and shop.
