I can’t wait to learn more about The 33, which begins filming this fall. My girl Jennifer Lopez is set to star alongside Antonio Banderas, telling the emotional true story of 33 Chilean miners trapped half a mile underground back on August 5, 2010. The movie will give us eyes into their experience before their rescue 69 days later.
Jennifer recently told E! News she was starring in a “small independent movie,” saying, “it’s a great role, and that’s all I care about.” She’s absolutely right – it is a great role and amazing opportunity to tell the world about a traumatic and life changing event.
The 33 will be produced by Mike Medavoy, who also did Black Swan and Shutter Island and directed by Patricia Riggen.
