4 Signs You’re Succeeding

Have you ever had someone come up to you and ask what it is you’ve been doing to look so good or seem so happy? It’s happened to me on occasion when I’ve worked hard to eat healthy and exercise at the gym. I feel great, my self-confidence is through the roof and people notice. It feels amazing to have someone else on the outside see what you’re feeling on the inside – even if it’s because they can actually see your results. You’ve worked hard and it’s awesome when someone sees the signs that you’re succeeding. But, that kind of thing doesn’t just happen when you’ve been working out – from the boardroom to the playground, lets take a look at four signs you’re succeeding.

4 Signs You’re Succeeding

#1. People start to ask what you’re doing or how you’re doing it. Like I mentioned earlier, this one is a no brainer. Sometimes when you’re succeeding, it’s so easy to see from the outside. Let’s say you’re losing weight or slimming down – people will notice. You’ll be stronger, slimmer and looking good, but chances are – you’ll also have a big smile on your face and you’ll stand a little taller. When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, the world takes notice. Be proud of all your accomplishments – getting healthy is no easy task. Don’t shy away from the compliments, but rather share your story. People wouldn’t ask if they didn’t want to know.

#2. You’re not afraid to reach out for help when you need it. We all get by with a little help from our friends, but for some reason when you’re finally achieving success, you’re not nearly as hesitant to ask for that help. Let’s say you’re building a business from the ground up. You’ve worked so hard to sell your product and finally sales are through the roof. But higher sales equals more demand and you find yourself working around the clock, so you need some help with your kiddos. It’s OK to ask grandma and grandpa to do some after-school pickups and surprisingly, you suddenly feel fine asking. Your success is driving self-confidence and that’s a great thing.

#3. You want more. You thought to yourself, once you get to a certain goal, you’ll be happy and all set. But, nope – your passion and drive is keeping you on that path to success. Let’s say you decide to take up running and your goal is to run a 5K. You’ve been eating healthy, working out at the gym and training for your race. Race day comes and you knock it out of the park – it ain’t no thing to run that route and when it’s over, you say – next up, a half marathon. You want more. You’re ready to tackle more. No challenge feels too big and you’ll go after it with a vengeance.

#4. You’re happy for the success of others too. This is a big one. We’ve talked extensively about jealousy, which often comes from a lack of self-confidence. When you’re not feeling successful and you’re down and out, it’s easy to be jealous of the success of others. When you yourself are successful and your confidence levels are right where they should be, you’ll find yourself simply happy when someone else achieves a goal or sees their dream become a reality.

Success and self-confidence looks good on you, so welcome it and let it shine. When people want to know how your achieving your goals – tell them! It will feel so good to share your story.
