CNN recently reported that suicide rates have increased by a terrifying 25% across the USA over the last twenty years ending in 2016. In the wake of the incredibly sad news of fashion designer Kate Spade's death last week, closely followed by celebrity chef, Anthony Bourdain on Friday, it's a topic that hits close to home. Worryingly, experts believe that the majority of people who commit suicide had no previous medical history of mental health problems.

Other recent celebrity suicides that rocked the world include Robin Williams, the actor that brought smiles to so many, who took his own life in 2014. One of the most talented and inspirational fashion designers in the world, Alexander McQueen, killed himself in 2010.

It's believed that in 2016 alone, 45,000 deaths ruled as a suicide, making it one of the top ten causes of death in the USA.
