Mindful Morning Routine

Rolling out of bed means it’s time to take on the day. For some people, rolling out of bed is stressful when thinking about all the responsibilities that are waiting for them. Having a mindful morning routine can change your life and help you relieve stress. Here are 5 ways you can improve your morning routine. 

Early Rising

The most stressful way to wake up is in a rush. I know there are days you want to stay in bed forever, but rushing will make it worse. It is important to get enough hours of sleep and wake up early enough to complete your morning routine peacefully. You will have time to have a proper breakfast, improve your brain function, and get a head start on the day.

Breathwork

Our breath is our life force. Breathwork helps to ease our natural stress response and lower blood pressure as it pumps more oxygen into the body. A nice deep breath can help us feel calm, centered, grounded, and energized.

Meditation + Yoga

Mindfulness will help us stay in the present, away from stressing about the past and being anxious about the future. It will create mental clarity and calmness, increase body awareness, and relax the mind. All necessary to make clear, positive decisions. A nice big stretch can also help with mobility and body pain. Gratitude Journal

Gratitude is the key to happiness. Start your mornings and make a shortlist of five things you are grateful for. If you can’t think of five every morning, go back to being grateful for your breath. When you live in gratitude, you are choosing to see things positively. You will start expressing more love to others and, more importantly, yourself.
