Get the Look: An Updated French Manicure Tutorial
February 5th, 2017
Just in time for Spring, nail expert and Sally Hansen global ambassador Madeline Poole brings us an updated French Manicure. The classic French manicure has been picking up popularity again recently. Adding an extra stripe of color or switching out the colors is a way of modernizing it while making it feel less ironic and more current. With gray tones trending as well, this example blends both trends into one easy-to-wear look.
A beautiful manicure starts with maintaining healthy nails. This is especially important when the nail look incorporates negative space like this Updated French. Sally Hansen’s Big Cuticle Oil provides much needed moisture for ragged nail beds. This quick-absorbing formula leaves cuticles, and nails, deeply hydrated, soft and healthy-looking while helping to defend against harsh, drying environmental elements faced daily. The formula is enriched with Coconut, Apricot Kernel oils plus Vitamin E.
Nail Rehab fills ridges and conceals damage making it perfect for applying before a negative space manicure and defends against breaking tearing and peeling.
See below for a step-by-step guide on how to create the Updated French look at home!
