Colombia: Coffee

Coffee’s brightening effects extend beyond a cup of joe. Rubbing coffee on your skin helps it to be more radiant. Rub this coffee scrub over any cellulite and stretch marks.

Cellulite Coffee Scrub

Ingredients:

½ cup Colombian coffee beans, fairly fine

2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil

1 tsp brown sugar

Directions:

Mix ingredients and scrub immediately or transfer to a glass jar to store for future use. Wash off scrub after using.

India: Turmeric

The antioxidants in turmeric make it a skincare wonder perfect for its anti-aging properties.

Anti-Aging Turmeric Face Mask

Ingredients:

Couple of tbsp of full-fat, plain Greek yogurt

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp honey

Directions:

Mix ingredients until smooth. Apply the mixture all over your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off.

Morocco: Rhassoul Clay

Rhassoul clay is known for its exfoliating properties and amazing mineral content (it contains magnesium, silicon, potassium, and calcium).

Rhassoul Clay Face & Body Mask

Ingredients:

Rhassoul clay

Freshly steeped herbal tea

Essential oil (rose or lavender)

Directions:

Mix equal parts rhassoul clay and herbal tea. Adjust the amounts until you form a paste. Add in a drop of essential oil. Once the mixture is smooth and free of lumps, transfer the clay to a pan to dry for a few days. To use, apply clay paste to your face and body and let air dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Use an exfoliating glove or your hands to rinse the clay off in circular motions with warm water.
