Fashion Week Fall 2012 Shoe Trends
Sexy sky-high platforms are on their way out for fall 2012 with more refined shoe styles taking their place; classic shoe shapes punched up with color and fabrics were spotted over and over again on the fall 2012 runway at fashion week. Here are four shoe trends that I am seriously looking forward to next season:

La La Anthony Wears Loren Jewels to Red Dress Fashion Show
Spotted! La La Anthony walked the runway at The Heart Truth's annual red dress fashion show last night wearing Loren Jewels! Here she is posing with Minka Kelly, who also strutted her stuff on the catwalk for a great cause: spreading the word about women and heart disease. La La is wearing a red Rachel Roy gown with two Loren Jewels bangles separated by a gorgeous Loren Jewels statement cuff bracelet.
Kim Kardashian and Lala Vasquez are spotted wearing Loren Jewels by Loren Ridinger at the Vera Wang Spring 2012 show inside the tents at New York Fashion Week. Bff's Lala and Kim have been keeping busy in New York City filming for their own shows, Lala filming for "Lala's Full Court Life" while Kim has been busy filming, "Kim and Kourtney Take On New York." Both Kim and Lala are wearing Loren Jewels by Loren Ridinger earrings and bangles.
Indeed they are a stunning couple!

Beauty Trend Alert Spring 2012: Sleek Hair and Nude Makeup
Our latest beauty trend alert for Spring 2012 comes from Tommy Hilfiger's collection during New York Fashion Week. Models walked the runway in colorful sun dresses, suits and swimwear rocking sleek hair ponytails and nude makeup. Sleek hair is an elegant style that looks great on pretty much anyone who can sport the do. Tommy's makeup team used a more neutral subtle palette with nude lips, subtle cheeks and thick brows.
What do you think of the sleek hair? Do you like this look?

"Inside The Tents"

Always imagined what happens "Inside" the tents during New York Fashion Week? Last week I attended the Luca Luca show which happens to be one of my favorite designers and it was chaotic. New York Fashion Week is a series of runway shows made for designers to present their new collections to buyers, stylists and press, but what we forget is that is a thriving business for paparazzi and the who's who of the industry. As I watched the overwhelming crowd of photographers in the middle of the runway hurdle over "The Hill's" cutie Kristin Cavallari only made me think what is more important for them the celebrity or the clothes? I can only remember way back in the 80's when no celebrities were allowed these shows were so hard to get into people would try anything and everything to get inside those tents. It was all about the designer, the clothes, the models this dream like world we all wish we were once part of. Do you feel our society is too media driven and some have forgotten the most important element, creativity?

Custo Barcelona, a Genius in the Use of Color and Business
Recently I attended the Custo Barcelona show during New York Fashion Week. He is an admirable business man and not to mention a creative genius in the use of color. The Spanish fashion designer founded Custo with his brother David by creating a line of T-shirts that were inspired their world travels. It all took a turn when in 1997 during New York Fashion Week, the creative brothers debuted a bright, colorful collection that made an impact on the catwalk during a time when black, white and gray ruled most of the designers' palettes. Today Custo has over 100 stores worldwide and carried in all major department stores.
The High-Queen of Haute Couture, Anna Wintour

With New York Fashion Week in full swing the busiest women in fashion Anna Wintour has been spotted in and out of Lincoln Center on various occasions. I thought it would be enlightening to share Anna's importance to the fashion industry and how the high-queen of haute couture preps for work every morning.
The most powerful woman in fashion Anna Wintour, 59, has been editor-in-chief of US Vogue Magazine since 1988. It is Anna Wintour who decides when green is the new black, she's notorious for her icy glare and has named the nickname "nuclear Wintour".
Who can blame her right–the fashion industry is one of the most fast-paced, stressful environment and she reigns over it all. Even the higher ups in the fashion will do anything she says at the drop of a hat. She’s just THAT powerful. So how does one exactly deal with that much power?
