Loren Ridinger never saw herself sitting on top of the world.  How could she-her start in life was not what anyone would call auspicious.  She was born in Flushing, setting in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Her family was of humble means.  When Ridinger was 21, she lost her mother, her family's fearless leader.  She had to set up and take care of her two younger brothers and her own daughter, Amber, now 18.  Life had dealt her what seemed like a challenging deck of cards.  The farthest Ridinger ever allowed herself to see herself going was a TV studio-she dreamed of being a newscaster or talk show host.  These days, the Miami based businesswoman and philanthropist does make it to the studio- as a guest.  Not to mention the board rooms of her many companies, and the countless photo shoots or red-carpet events to which she is invited, were rubs elbows with a bold-faced group of BFF, including Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria Parker and the Kardashians.  This is the result of 20 years of hard work and entrepreneurial savvy.

My dear friend Eva Longoria Parker hosted the MTV European Music Awards yesterday in Spain and all I have to say she's fun, fearless with an admirable sense of humor.   Eva is one of those women you want to be friends with, she's upbeat and always ready to take on a new challenge.  I think that as entrepreneurs we must lead by example, we must show no fear, show passion, transmit energy and motivate others!  It takes a lot to host an award show especially the MTV Music Awards! I think Eva did an amazing job and I'm very proud of her!

It was a special day for me when my girl Eva Longoria Parker arrived to New York on Saturday in support of my Loren Jewels trunk show.  Although, I was a bit under the weather Eva made it extra special :)  We arrived at the London Jewelers store in Manhasset around 2:00 PM, awaiting our arrival was my dear friend and PR prince Jonathan Cheban,  Haute Living magazine's CEO & Publisher Kamal Hotchandani and Candi Udell owner of London Jewelers.
