Can't wait to get the Nov Art issue of W's magazine featuring my dear friend Kim Kardashian. The issue hits stands tomorrow, but already the industry is buzzing as a must have collector's item. I think Kim looks so beautiful and natural, the issue talks about how Kim has become a pop-culture icon and how she is so comfortable with herself and has turned her name into a worldwide empire. Famed celebrity photographer Mark Seliger did an amazing job with this shoot.

One of my favorite must have colors for the fall are these limited edition Chanel nail laquer. They come in khaki rose, khaki brun and khaki vert, they look great if you are rocking the military trend, khaki rose is subtle yet makes a statement and the khaki brun well let's just say neutrals are in for the season! Which one is your favorite?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There’s tons of way to show your support from walkathons to galas. But my favorite way to show support, naturally, is by shopping! In honor of the women battling for their lives against breast cancer, I’ve made a list of a few beauty products that benefit this cause.

I recently came across this adorable jewelry boutique called Violet & Grace housed in the lobby floor of Miami’s Shore Club. You can barely stretch out your arms in the space, but owner Ina Lettman’s selection is worth the discomfort.
Each of the three lines carried—Ela Stone, Didi Colley, and Gag & Lou—were handpicked by the former Ford model while in Europe for a fashion shoot. “I found Gag & Lou’s bracelets inside a small Parisian shop,” explains Lettman. “I asked the sales person for the brands contact info, but instead she gave me the owner’s cell phone!” And that’s how Lettman scored the exclusive rights to carry the brand whose string bracelets adorned with 18k gold and sterling silver charms have found wide success in France.
Also available is Kate Moss and Sienna Miller fave Ela Stone. I instantly fell in love with the vintage-inspired line’s thick chained necklace complete with a three-inch, gold-plated leopard as the focal point. British designer Didi Colley doesn’t stay quiet either with its over-sized grey quartz ring, and stackables made of semiprecious and precious gems. As an added bonus, everything is reasonably priced between $40 and $400—which by SoBe’s standard is a diamond in the rough.

I’m a firm believer that knowledge is key. I know it’s a bit of a cliché, but with knowledge you can solve almost any problem by seeing the issue from a new perspective. A lot of the times our ignorance is what blocks us from moving forward. Hence, why I’m totally obsessed with education myself. And it doesn’t have to be a new degree. Knowledge can come from a new friend, a webinar or even a book.
I recently picked up a book titled The Female Brain by Louann Brizendine, M.D. People that saw the book cover thought I was crazy! But I didn’t care since I was learning so much. Dr. Brizendine is a Yale- and Harvard-trained psychiatrist who specializes in relationship dynamics that result from the neurobiology of male and female brains. In her book The Female Book she explains how, based on extensive research, women’s brains are actually formed differently making us more empathetic, intuitive, and even moody, than men. Each chapter addresses a different stage in a woman’s life (like birth brain, teenage brain, mommy brain, and mature brain), as well as several other subjects (like sex and emotion). I was amazed to learn that a lot of the emotions we feel growing up (little girls being bossy, or teenage girls absolutely needing to socialize) is actually because our brain forms that way.

With restaurants everywhere from Beverly Hills to New York and London, Mr Chow is an international force, to say the least. Michael Chow, the infamous restaurateur, opened his first eatery in Knightsbridge, London in 1968. In 2009 he opened Mr Chow in Miami Beach. I, of course, was ecstatic because I’ve long loved his locations Midtown and Tribeca, and now there was a location in my Miami neighborhood!
If you ever make it to Miami, I urge you to check our Mr Chow both for its food and its ambient. Its location inside the W Hotel gives this already fabulous restaurant an extra touch of glam. On any given night, the whos-who of Miami’s social scene fill every chair in the house. So dress appropriately. And once you’re there notice the 123-foot gold leaf and Swarovski crystal chandelier designed by Michael Chow himself.
Must-have items include the pecking duck, any of the dumplings, and of course the Mr Chow noodles. If you happen to be in Miami anytime between now and the end of September, the restaurant is participating in Miami Spice. So you can get a three-course meal at a pre-fixe price of $35 per guest. Oh and, reservations are a must, so keep that in mind.
Enjoy!

While living in Miami during the winter there is one place that I make it a point to visit regularly when I'm looking for high-end, luxury, European fashion that is the Webster Miami Beach. Opened in 2008, by friends Milan Vukmirovic, Frederick Dechnik and Lauren Heriard the store offers an eclectic selection of avant-garde pieces, opulent environment and some of the best designers on the beach. You can see a great selection of designers like: Tom Ford, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Balmain, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler, YSL, Alai, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabanna, Hermes and many more.

Mexican food can go really, really wrong, but Mercadito Restaurants has it down to a science. I first ate at a Mercadito in New York and was impressed, so I was excited to hear the restaurant group had plans to open a location in Miami. This past March, Midtown Miami welcomed Mercadito to its trendy neighborhood and since then quickly became a hotspot. Rarely do restaurants have the trifeca: good food, good environment and good cocktails. But Mercadito has it all.
