Types of Work at Home Jobs Types of Work at Home Jobs

Working from home has gained popularity over the last few years, especially due to the state of the economy. Many companies are allowing employees to work from home due to lack of a physical space or as a perk in lieu of an annual raise. However this is not the only type of work at home job available to you. It is possible to be your own boss and if you are trying to pick up the pieces after being laid off from your previous job, there are other career avenues you can look into that will allow you to work from home or wherever you chose. Here, types of work from home jobs you should know about:

1. As I mentioned before, if you already have a job, try negotiating with your boss about working from home part-time. You won't know unless you ask.

2. The healthcare and medical fields are growing. Medical transcription has been a popular work from home job for many years.

3. Mediabistro.com is a fabulous resource for writers who want to work from home. Check out their freelance listings from more info!

4. Have excellent grades and test scores in a certain subject? Become an SAT tutor

5. Shop.com consultants have the opportunity to build and run their own business alongside myself and husband JR. We have worked very hard over the last 20 years to give everyone the chance to become a successful entrepreneur.

6. If you are crafty and looking for a fast way to get your product to people online, look into opening your own Etsy shop

Working from home and being a home schooling Mom was the best decision for my family. We love creating our own schedules and getting to wake up late together !

I tried working full-time from home on a call agent job. It was actually pretty simple, I got a computer with a special effective software and a phone contract sponsored by the company and there I went from 9 to 5. Advantage: You can paint your fingernails while working, downside: You tend to get isolated from the rest of the world, spending so much time at home.
