In this economy it's important to be extremely thorough in every job interview you have - you cannot afford to waste an opportunity by forgetting to prep talking points for an interview! Talking points for an interview include examples of past successes, how and why you achieved a positive outcome. Details are key and it's critical that the talking points for the interview have tangible benchmarks your potential boss can quickly process. Examples are how much traffic and/or sales increased from your previous position? How many times were you promoted or given extra responsibility? Also, when your interviewer reaches out and asks if you have any questions, say yes! Talking points for an interview should include inquiries about the position as it shows your interest in the job (bring a list so you don't forget!).

According to E! News, 38-year-old media mogul and model Tyra Banks is set to graduate from Harvard Business School! Tyra sat down with Harvard Business School's associate dean for an honest career interview that I think would be very inspirational to any aspiring entrepreneur: 

Tangerine tango is the hottest color for spring, for everything from lipstick to throw pillows and if you're feeling bold, the color can also apply to your dresses for work! Now is the time to start stocking up on your spring wardrobe and new dresses for work for when the weather gets warmer but always keep in mind that image is critical in the workplace. It's up to you to decide what is too casual, too creative, too revealing, etc. I chose three dresses for work that are professional but still fashion forward due to their silhouettes and fun shade - and a new pair of pointy-toe nude pumps always adds the perfect finishing touch. How you portray yourself in a business meeting is very important. Business meeting etiquette means being professional but engaged, being calm but unafraid to ask questions and bring your own ideas to the table. Keep in mind that business meeting etiquette will vary from company to company; a business meeting for a start up will most likely be completely different from a meeting on Wall Street. Public speaking means something different to everyone: giving a presentation in front of your classmates, filming an interview, speaking to thousands on stage. I was lucky enough to develop my public speaking skills over time so that it came naturally; I remember years ago when we first began holding conferences in North Carolina for a few hundred people and now I stand on stage in front of 20,000+ twice a year! Many do not have that kind of time to become comfortable with public speaking and overcome public speaking anxiety, it may be a part of your job description or something you must do on the journey to fulfilling your dreams. Public speaking can be scary at first - I was nervous going to HSN live in 95 million homes! - but it's a valuable tool to have and will give you a platform to be heard if you can learn to be both articulate and passionate. A leader is someone that is looked upon for guidance, whether it's the CEO of a fortune 500 company, the head coach of a pro sports team or the matriarch of one's family.
